The Cipriano Classic 5K is a fantastic spend time with friends and family helping with a community event as a volunteer or for a quick 'work-out' on a Friday night. All proceeds and donations benefit the Cipriano Children's Trust. There is plenty of parking at the YMCA and Prince of Peace Church. The 5K will start at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 5, 2026. Early Bird Registration is $40 through May 23 at 11:59 pm. Starting May 24 registration is $45. Race Day registration is available from 5:00-6:30 pm on June 5 at the YMCA for $45. A Virtual 5K option is available for $50. If you would like to be a race sponsor or donate to the Cipriano family online, please visit our Sponsor Tab. If you wish to volunteer, we would love to have you. Click here to volunteer. Rather than provide age group awards, we donate every dollar to the Cipriano Children's Trust, after costs. Results from previous years are posted in the Results Tab. Our 2025 event raised over $66,000 for the Cipriano family. They truly appreciate your continued support and this event is among highlights of their year. Here is an April 2026 statement from the Cipriano family: "Hello friends and family! As we look forward to the fifteenth annual Cipriano Classic, we want to once again thank all of you for your continued love and support. As many of you already know, Sal struggled with more health complications this past year particularly in the fall of 2025 when he had to be hospitalized and then again this April because of an emergency appendectomy. We are so proud of how strong he’s been through all of this ongoing hardship, and we appreciate all of the doctors, nurses, therapists, and caregivers who support his recovery every day. He plans to be back at the 5K this year and he’s excited to see all of your friendly faces in June! When not managing Sal’s needs, Rose is still playing tennis and swimming as much as she can so she can’t wait for this year’s Cipriano Classic! She’s even walking our beautiful (and sometimes stubborn) dog, Hope, every day to prepare for the course. Tanner continues writing for entertainment while also tutoring students with learning difficulties, plus he’s selling his art and performing comedy around LA and Detroit as well. Isabella is working as a medical assistant at a dermatology office, while also studying hard for the MCAT as she plans to continue her medical school journey. While we have been challenged with our share of adversity this past year along with many others around the world, the Cipriano Classic is always a wonderful time for us to reconnect with all of you so we hope to see you there.
